Artist Signed Pony, Tag & Box

Love As Strong as a Horse is part of the third herd of Painted Ponies released in January, 2004.  It was retired in February, 2005, after only completing production of its first edition and less than half of its second edition.

This pony, its tag, and box, have been signed by Jesse Hummingbird, the artist who created the original life-size Love As Strong as a Horse Painted Pony. This is truly a rare find!

This pony is numbered 2E/3620 and comes with original box, hangtag, and styrofoam.  There is some shelf wear on the box.  It is being stored in its box in a smoke free environment.

The tag reads "It was a Cherokee tradition for each family to make and hang a mask in the house for power and protection, to keep in good luck and keep out the bad, says Cherokee artist Jesse Hummingbird, whose paintings of brightly colored, geometric faces have become his signature. The two couples represent different seasons of life - spring and fall - and are my way of inspiring people to find soulmates with whom they can discover both the strength and beauty of love."

Insurance is optional, but highly recommended, particularly on retired ponies. 

All shipments within the US are sent by US Postal Service Priority Mail with delivery and signature confirmation.

Please note that some ponies (particular older ones) may have minor imperfections or show signs of touch-up, such as underpaints or overpaints (as most ceramic and some resin pieces do) that occurred during manufacture, as each one is hand painted. Most painted pony boxes have shelf wear or the tag may be creased or slightly bent; this does not affect the pony in any way.  If you have any questions, please ask before buying, as ponies are sold as is.
