Painted Ponies Run for the Roses
In Stock Now!
These ponies are numbered between 1E/1889 and 1E/2425. These are first editon, first production run ponies.
This pony has been made in a very limited quantity as of this date, and there is no specific date as to when it will be released in the normal line of Painted Ponies. This information has been posted on the Painted Ponies website regarding this pony and its exclusivity:
"Dillards Department Stores has commissioned “Run for the Roses,” which will be exclusively available through Dillards stores starting this summer. When the agreed-upon length of time is reached, we will have the option whether to make that Pony part of a future general release."
Please note that this states that the Painted Ponies organization states they will have the option whether or not to make this Pony part of a future general release." Again, they do not give a specific date or even state that this pony (or the other two "special issue" ponies - High Desert and Phoenix Pony) will ever be released in the general line of Painted Ponies. So it is possible that this pony may never be released in the general line of Painted Ponies, and once Dillard’s "exclusive" runs out, no more may be made. No one knows for sure. This pony could become EXTREMELY valuable.
This pony is just in time for the Kentucky Derby and is ready to race! It’s modeled after the original Painted Pony called Run for the Roses, painted by artist Janee Hughes, who also did the Fantastic Fillies, Nutcracker, and Incognito Painted Ponies, and the Silver Bells and Frosty holiday ponies which have also been reproduced as collectible figurines.
Don’t miss your chance to add this brand new, hard to find, rare pony to your collection today! This is in its original maroon box, with styrofoam, collector’s booklet, and maroon hangtag.
